Church on the Hill expanding its campus

Church on the Hill expanding its campus It must be nothing but confusing for anyone who comes to America - who practices a religion other than Christianity - when they notice how many churches there are on any given street, ALL of which consider themselves to be Christian. According to American Church Lists, there are 386,000 churches in the USA alone. While the Church on the Hill is thriving, amidst persecution, in third world nations, here in America the traditional, local church no longer ranks as the only place to go as the Christian's primary meeting place. Millions of people claim they are drawing closer to God but farther from any involvement with traditional churches. What's happening? According to California Researchers called the Barna Group, "...new ways of experiencing and expressing faith, such as through house churches, marketplace ministries, and cyberchurches, are becoming the norm for millions of people." ACIM and the Mystical Teachings of Jesus

Following the mystical teachings of Jesus, our approach focuses on the Guidance of the Spirit, which acts as an inner compass allowing the form of the path to be given moment by moment. This is a practical, direct, and single-pointed approach, like ACIM,  a course in miracles  where absolutely everything in our daily lives is used for one Purpose: to come to the experience of true freedom. The Spirit meets us where we believe we are, unwinding and taking us deeper and deeper into an expansion of the mind to the awareness that there is no separate self. Stepping stones were Given to gently bring us along the path into the Present moment, where the idea of a path disappears in the release of all concepts and the recognition that there was never anything wrong (and no path to walk on)! To dive deeper into an experience of prayer with Jesus and to better hear the guidance that is given, sink into  The Mystical Teachings of Jesus  prayer-meditation book compiled by...

A Course in Miracles Makes Decision Making Easy

Enjoy the following excerpt from a transcribed talk given by  A Course in Miracles  teacher David Hoffmeister. I’m looking at all the flags of  the different religions and spiritualities in the back of the room. You might wonder, Which path is it I should take? It does seem to be a pretty significant decision, right? No! Jesus says in the introduction to A Course in Miracles, “This is a required course”. He’s really meaning forgiveness is required. It’s not meaning that you have to study A Course in Miracles or else. He’s just saying forgiveness is a required course. It is a self-study course, not a religion. You will have to forgive at some point or another. He also says, “Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It only means that you can decide what you want to take at a given time”. Later on in the teacher’s manual, he even adds more to it. You can’t even decide the form. Well, that’s great! Now the curriculum is required, I have to forgive...
